I came across a
Marina Abramovic, a performance artist while on tumblr. Curious, I decided to watch some of her works and I was deeply intrigued by them. I even cried while watching 'The Artist Is Present', especially when Ulay visited her again years after the went their separate ways in 1988. (ya'll have to read her wikipedia page to fully understand what i am talking about.)
A lady without limits, that's how i would describe her. She has done pieces most people wouldn't even think of doing today. I have yet to fully understand how and why she does any of her works but I appreciate her dedication in doing them. Performance art is something i haven't really explored but after seeing this, I am desperate to find out more.

Currently I am working on paintings, trying out different styles & mediums. I wouldn't say im exactly happy with my works, but I just enjoy the process of it, discovering my abilities and experimenting with different techniques. I haven't done much since 2011 because of exams and whatnot so it's almost like learning how to walk again.
I've always felt like I needed to know exactly what I am like as an
artist; my style, concepts, methods but that isn't always the case. I
should take time to slowly discover myself as i try out different
things. It's okay to make mistakes. As a matter of fact, art is
subjective; there is no right or wrong, so why worry?
Of course, lets not forget about musique. So far I have done a few gigs here and there. Some were alright, some ... well it has room for improvement. I haven't done a youtube cover this year though. Hopefully i can get a Macbook and a mic soon. I have dozens of ideas for music arrangements but I haven't had a chance to lay them all out. ALSO, I recently auditioned for Channel 5's The Final One. It is probably one of the biggest things have ever done but hey, it's worth a shot. They will be calling the finalists this week so i am crossing my fingers for it!
Gotta get as much as I can done before the start of poly life. After that I want to focus on my course as much as i can and make sure i maintain a high GPA.

SPEAKING OF POLY, can we all take a moment here to celebrate the fact that I AM FINALLY GOING TO ONE! Re-taking O's paid off. My results weren't exactly fantastic but still I made it. Plus, I got a B4 for FREAKING MATH. Couldn't have done it without my night class teachers, friends and my tutors (had tuition 2 months before the exams lol).
The course I have chosen? RP, NEW MEDIA. I tried to apply for MCM in NP & SP & FSV in NP via JPSAE but alas, em' polys dowwan me sigh. But it's all good really, I like the course im in and I am really excited to start school. Also I can't wait to attend the STarts camp and meet new friends!
I feel like a kid all over again just thinking about school :3

I know i shouldn't be neglecting this space but blogging is no longer as easy as it used to be for me. Ever since the invention of micro-blogging aka 'twitter', I can no longer seem to put my thoughts into proper sentences. Shouldn't have neglected composition writing back in secondary school. I finally understand the importance of it sigh :(
Life has been pretty fair for me these past three months. I am pretty excited to see what the next few months hold for a confused 18-year-old girl like me. Till then, goodnight and DFTBA! x
